Privacy Policy

Craftora Pty Ltd (ABN 32 642 310 388) operates Appie (appie.au). This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

We collect: account information (name, email, mobile, business name, ABN, trade type); call recordings and transcripts; SMS and email content processed on your behalf; customer enquiry data; usage and device data; and payment details processed via our secure payment provider.

We use your information to provide and improve Appie, process inbound communications on your behalf, send invoices and account updates, detect fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve AI models using anonymised data only.

Appie records and transcribes inbound calls for AI processing. You are responsible for ensuring your customers are informed that calls may be recorded, in accordance with laws in your jurisdiction. We process voice and message data using third-party AI providers under data processing agreements.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with third-party service providers (telephony, AI, cloud, payments), law enforcement when required by law, and successors in a business sale. All providers handle data securely under our instructions.

Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard protections. Data may be stored in Australia and overseas including the United States. Despite best efforts, no system is completely secure and we are not liable for breaches beyond our reasonable control.

Account data is retained while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period after. Call recordings and transcripts are retained for 90 days by default. Contact us to request earlier deletion.

Under the Australian Privacy Act you may access, correct, or request deletion of your data; opt out of marketing; and lodge a complaint with the OAIC at oaic.gov.au. Contact privacy@appie.au to exercise these rights.

Appie uses cookies to maintain sessions and analyse usage. You may disable cookies in your browser though this may affect functionality.

Appie may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Appie is not for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Contact us immediately if you believe we hold a minor's data.

We may update this policy with notice via email or in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
